Tagging of the first Bonelli’s Eagle of the season!
The first Bonelli’s Eagle of the season is tagged in western Crete by the team of the Natural History Museum - University of Crete.
It's one of the two fledglings of a well known nest of the species in Crete, that breeds succesfully every year.
We would like to thank the climbers Savvas Paragkamian & Costas Marmatzakos, as well as the HOS/BirdLife Greece volunteer Nikos Samaritakis for their support and assistance at the implementation of the LIFE Bonelli eastMed fieldwork activities.
